My boyfriend and I are traveling to Antwerp. We have a friend there and we want to visit him and do this trip. He has told us some places to visit like:

Cathedral of our Lady (Antwerp Cathedral) or the Grande Place. We are lucky to have a great guide.
We will be lodged in the Plaza Hotel. This hotel includes breakfast in the price and also we can use the internet access, laundry service and hotel park for our rented car. The hotel also has a bar, conference rooms and meeting rooms.

We’ll rent a car because we’ll drive around the country with our friend and visit other cities like Ghent or Bruges and cross the border of Holland to visit Amsterdam.

We hope that it will be a fun trip and to take many photos. We want to visit the Cathedral of Our Lady,  Grotte Markt,  Grande Place, Sthaduis, Rubenshuis, Diamond District and the red light district.

Olivia is off to Stockholm

I’m travelling to Stockholm for a few days, from the 2nd to the 4th of January. I’m travelling with my boyfriend and my two sisters. We’re going to fly by Iberia and we’re booking into the Alexandra Hotel which is centrally located in the charming south side of Stockholm city centre.

We need to change money because in Stockholm they use the Krona not  Euros.  This holiday will maybe cost 8000 krona per person, this is the same as 800 euros, more or less . We don’t need vaccinations because we’re staying in Europe. We’re going to use our DNI to travel by plane. When we  go we have organized a tour from Stockholm. On the first day in the morning we’re seeing an old town, and a cathedral. In the evening a royal palace and Drottningholm Palace.

Drottningholm Palace

On the second day we’re visiting friends and they’re staying with us all day. Finally they’re going to show us the night life in Stockholm. The last day we’re going to do a Stockholm Grand tour. On this holiday we’re eating in a Vegetarian Restaurant because we’re Vegetarian and Vegan also. Our friend knows many vegetarian restaurants in Stockholm.

The weather in Stockholm is very, very cold, and our friends told us we’re going to need warm clothes like a scarf, jersey, hats and a coat.
We’re going to enjoy this holiday so much.

Edinburgh at Xmas

Hi people

Here you have a photo of the Christmas Fair in Princess Street. My old school friend Lesley Donald, a professional photographer, took the photo. My other good friends Debbie, Kathryn and my daughter were there too. It's not every day I have my photo taken by someone who takes photos of Prince Charles. We had a great time and laughed a lot in the Christmas market. Here you have Lesley, myself and Elena, my daughter

This is the professional one. Photo taken by Lesley Donald, http://www.lesleydonald.com/

(This is when I put my camera away)

We had a great time. I haven't seen Lesley since I left school but she's as crazy as ever and we all had a really good laugh.

Yoli is going to the Seychelles too !!

I´m  going to travel  with my husband to the Seychelles next March, we will stay there for seven days. I think the weather will be good,  because in the Seychelles it is always warm and without extreme temperatures.
We will go by plane, the company is Air France. There are many good hotels in the Seychelles, but we are going to stay at the “ Four Seasons Resort Seychelles”,  a Spa Hotel and expensive too. This hotel is on Mahé island, the principal island and near the international airport and Victoria. Here  most of the islands tourism, great restaurants, bars, cafes and casinos can be found.

We are going to visit the Island Mahé, where we can enjoy a variety of water sports, we are going to see. Anse Aux Pins and Turtle bay. This is a long stretch of coastline stretching along the south-eastern coast of Mahé and includes Turtle Bay. It is interesting to walk on the sand and rocky outcrops where we will discover all sorts of marine life trapped in rock pools.

We are going to have dinner in Baobab, this is a restaurant that has international cuisine and is a popular restaurant that attracts many visitors. They serve a large variety of local and international meals, including pizza, spaghetti, fish and salads. Located in Beau Vallon Beach, Baobab is an ideal place to stop for a tasty meals and drinks.

We think that the Seychelles night life usually  consists of scattered bars, casinos and discos.
I hope to speak better and more about the Seychelles when I come back

Veronika is going to the Seychelles

Four Seasons Resort

My boyfriend and I will go to the Seychelles island next year. The Seychelles Islands are a wonderful place and although it is very expensive, it’s worth going.

We're going to travel by Air France from Madrid ( Barajas) to Mahé Island airport, we'll arrive at 07:15 (+ 3 hours). We're going to stay at the Four Seasons Resort (Mahé). The hotel has a spa, Hotspots, Swimming Pool, Massage Facility,  and a Beauty Salon.

We are going to eat at the Al Mare restaurant, where they have a wide variety of seafood, Creole cuisine and Italian too.

Miguel Angel is going to London

Bridge Park Hotel

This year I want to go to England and visit London. Probably I would like to go in January or  March, because my girlfriend can go with me.

I searched for cheap flights and hotels and have found a hotel and flight at a web page called www.vueltosbaratos.com. The offer is the next:

For the hotel:

Bridge Park Hotel      total for four nights: 200,14 euros
16 Hillside, London

For the flight:

Alacant-Gatwick   Departure: 9.30 arrival 11.15:     441,74 euros.

In England they use Pounds sterling for currency. So if I change 100 euros into Pounds it’s over 90.99 pounds.  It`s cheap to travel to London now!
I think vaccinations are not necessary for the UU but I found this information on the internet and its correct too.
To travel I need my passport and ID card and Visa for shopping and getting money.
When I go to London I’ll visit the main monuments and neighbourhoods of the city, for example:
Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, Trafalgar Square, Soho, Notting Hill, Covent Garden, etc.
When I’m there I´d like to visit Camden Market and eat at the Hard Rock Café because five years ago I visited the same restaurant in Barcelona. The menu is cheap, about 20 Euros per person.

Camden Market

Probably in London it’s not necessary to use the car to move around, because there is a lot of traffic and it’s difficult to drive on the left. For moving around in London the best transport is London Underground because it connects the entire city and is easy to use.
In January, the weather in London is cold and rainy. The temperature is about 6 degrees and foggy. The best clothes I can use are winter wear. Jacket, boots and waterproofs are necessary to move around in this city.

Hogmanay in Scotland, 31st December

In Scotland, the 31st of December is known as Hogmanay and it has always been the big party night in Scotland. When I was young we used to have friends round for a party - the homemade brew, whisky, traditional Scottish music, dancing and generally have a good time.

Nowadays, there is a big party in Edinburgh, live concerts in Princess Street Gardens below the Castle and the countdown to midnight, when there is a firework display to celebrate the New Year.

Visit the official website to find out exactly what's on.
